The customer wanted their new extension to combine practical lighting and power with a discreet entertainment setup, keeping cables hidden and the space uncluttered.
Work carried out:
Matt installed power points and LED lighting throughout the extension, alongside external lighting for the outdoor space. HDMI cabling was routed back to the under-stairs AV system, and Yamaha speakers were installed to complete the entertainment setup. Flat Refurbishment and Electrical Upgrades
Customer needs:
The customer wanted to refresh the flat’s interior while updating its lighting, electrical distribution and smoke and heat detection.
Work carried out:
As part of the wider refurbishment, Matt installed Aurora LED downlights, Aico mains-powered smoke and heat alarms, and a new consumer unit. The project also included painting and decorating, new carpets, and a new bathroom shower and glass screen. Together, these improvements gave the flat a fresh finish, modern lighting and updated electrical fittings.

Outdoor LED Security Light Installation
Customer needs:
The customer wanted better visibility outside the property, with lighting that would activate automatically when movement was detected.
Work carried out:
Matt installed a Knightsbridge outdoor LED light with a PIR motion sensor. The weather-resistant fitting provides light when needed, making it easier to see when approaching or moving around the property after dark. Automatic activation also removes the need to switch the light on manually.

Hikvision Alarm Installation with CCTV Integration
Customer needs:
The customer wanted an integrated security system combining intruder detection and CCTV, with straightforward controls for everyday use.
Work carried out:
Matt installed a Hikvision AX PRO alarm system with 360° motion detectors, door contact detectors and outdoor sensors. Wireless key fobs and a keypad provide convenient ways to control the alarm, which was integrated with the HiLook CCTV system. The installation brought detection and surveillance together, giving the customer a more joined-up approach to managing their property’s security.

Six-Camera HiLook CCTV Installation
Customer needs:
The customer wanted CCTV coverage of internal and external areas, with clear recordings and storage to review footage when needed.
Work carried out:
Matt installed six HiLook high-definition cameras covering areas inside and outside the property. These were connected to a network video recorder using Power over Ethernet, which carries power and data through the same cable for a tidy installation. The system includes 4TB of recording storage, giving the customer a practical way to monitor the property and look back at recorded events.

Commercial Fire Alarm Panel Testing and Battery Replacement
Customer needs:
The customer needed their commercial unit’s fire alarm panel checked, replacement batteries fitted and maintenance records brought up to date.
Work carried out:
Matt installed new batteries and tested the fire alarm system, confirming it was operational at the time of testing. Logbooks were also supplied, updated and signed, leaving the customer with a clear record of the work completed and the test outcome.
